Highway 9 Resurfacing in Santa Cruz County Begins Tuesday, August 20th
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – A project to resurface Highway 9 from Greenvale Drive to the Junction with Hwy. 236 (Waterman’s Gap) will begin on Tuesday, August 20 from 7 am until 5 pm. Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control with delays not to exceed 15 minutes.
This roadwork and traffic control will continue Wednesday, August 21 and Thursday, August 22 from 7 am until 5 pm and on Friday, August 23 from 7 am until 2 pm.
Electronic message boards will be posted to alert motorists of this roadwork. Motorists can expect delays not to exceed 15 minutes.
The contractor for this $1.2 million project which includes work in various locations in Santa Cruz/Monterey Counties is Granite Construction of San Jose, CA. This project is expected to be complete in September.
