SANTA CRUZ – An emergency electrical project to replace a damaged signal pole due to a recent traffic accident will require the northbound lanes of Highway 1 at Bay Street in Santa Cruz to be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, May 21 from 9 am to 5 pm, Caltrans officials have announced.
All traffic heading northbound on Hwy. 1 will be detoured onto Bay St. Motorists can expect delays of up to 20 minutes to access and get through the detour. These repairs are necessary for the safety of the traveling public. Roadwork should be completed by 5 pm tomorrow, Tuesday, May 21.
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
