SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – Four maintenance projects along Highways 1 and 17 in Santa Cruz County will take place starting Monday, April 4, Caltrans officials announced today. Details are as follows:
Monday, April 4 in Scotts Valley:
- Northbound Hwy. 17 from Sims Rd. to Mt. Hermon Rd.
- #2 (right) lane closed for fence repair from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
- Motorists can expect delays up to 10 minutes
Tuesday, April 5 in Santa Cruz:
- Northbound Hwy. 1, at the Fishhook
- Alternating lane closures for bridge work from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
- Motorists can expect delays up to 15 minutes
Wednesday, April 6 in Scotts Valley:
- Southbound Hwy. 17, at Mt. Hermon Rd.
- #2 (right) lane closure for bridge work from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
- Motorists can expect delays up to 10 minutes
Thursday, April 7 in Scotts Valley:
- Southbound Highway 17, from Mt. Hermon Rd. to Sims Rd.
- #2 (right) lane closed for sign repair from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
- Motorists can expect delays up to 10 minutes
Electronic message boards will be posted on the day of the roadwork to alert motorists of work being done. Roadwork is being done by Santa Cruz North Maintenance, San Luis Bridge and Santa Cruz Sign crews and is necessary for the safety of motorists. It is scheduled to be complete by Thursday, April 7.
