Nighttime Paving Project on Southbound Hwy 17 Near Scotts Valley

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY–A nighttime construction project to pave a one-mile section of southbound Highway 17 near the Santa Cruz/Santa Clara County line begins tomorrow, Tuesday, June 21, Caltrans officials have announced. 

Roadwork for the single lane closures of southbound Hwy. 17 will be as follows:

·       Sunday night: 10 pm to 8 am; Monday through Thursday night: 9 pm to 8 am (Friday).

The purpose of this construction project is to cold plane and overlay asphalt pavement on this one-mile section of southbound Hwy. 17.

Electronic message boards will be activated to advise travelers about this roadwork.

The contractor for this $226,000 project is Granite Construction of Santa Clara. It is scheduled to be complete by the end of June.
